Team Development
- Rehearsal times may be used not only for learning and practicing music but for team building. This may consist of a time of prayer, Bible study, and sharing prior to rehearsing music.
- Adding new members to the team will be encouraged in the following ways
- Individuals who wish to become part of the team will be asked to study and commit to the guidelines and expectations. After completing the application form, it should be returned to the worship leader, who will review the form and schedule a time for the applicant to visit rehearsal.
- Applicants will be asked to practice with the worship team for a period of time before being accepted as a team member.
- As the team grows, it will be understood that scheduling for ministry involvement may need to be done on a rotation basis.
- It is encouraged to continually learn how to sharpen your skills. Suggestion: tape recording the rehearsal can help you practice the songs on your own.
- From time to time, instrumentalists may be recruited on a temporary basis. These musicians may or may not have a personal relationship with Christ and may or may not be a member of NHCC. Please be kind and loving to all guest musicians as you may be instrumental in leading them to Christ.
- Members feeling led to resign from the worship team will be asked to give a two-week notice, if possible.
- The worship team will be under the spiritual direction of the pastoral staff. On rare occasions it may be necessary to remove a person from the team due to moral or other reasons. We ask you to support these difficult leadership decisions.
- Worship team members who cannot comply with the commitments outlined herein will be asked to resign from the team and find another place of ministry that does not require as high of a commitment level.
