Why We Exist as a Church
The Great Commandment - Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission - Matthew 28:19-20
New Hope Community Church exists to reach people, to connect them to Christ and to other Christ followers, to help them grow in their faith, to challenge the growing to discover their place of ministry and to develop their leadership skills in order to honor God with their lives.
- Reach (evangelism) - We Exist to Explain God's Good News
- "His intent was that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known
." Eph. 3:10
Connect (fellowship) - We Exist to Encourage God's Family
- "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, escpecially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near." Heb. 10:25

- Grow (discipleship) - We Exist to Educate God's People
- "He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church Body of Christ." Eph. 4:11-12

- Discover (ministry) - We Exist to Express God's Love
- "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples - that you have love for one another." John 13:35

- Develop (stewardship) - We Exist to Empower God's Leaders
- "You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others...Solid food is for those who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right." Heb. 5:12-14

- Honor (worship) - We Exist to Exalt God's Name
- "Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only." Matt. 4:10

The Great Commandment: "Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart
